1958 Willys Wagon Full Resto

by Paul Wheatley
(Parker, Arizona)

I have owned a WIllys- Jeep since I was 16 years old, and now I am 58 and still have two.

Found a '58 wagon to restore , and it's like the one my father and I fished and camped in when I was a child. A full body-off restoration has been done.

It now has a new 4.3L GM V-6 (injected) with vintage air and heat. All of the suspension and balance of drive train is original restored, including the complete interior.

Larry's Comment: Your '58 Wagon is a beauty, Paul!

I especially like the contrast of the red paint with the beige fenders, bumpers and top.

Very nicely done.

V front grill with 9 "slats"---what is it?
by: bev

I have what I thought was a Jeep station wagon grill, but can't find it anywhere! It has 9 steel "slats" (10 "openings"). Does anyone know what this was from? Thanks!!

Hi Paul
It´s Wiillow and I´m planning to install a Chevy 4.3L on my Willys Station Wagon. I´d like to talk to you about what you did on your Wagon and share experiences on restoration.

My mail address is: gusomega52@hotmail.com

Your Wagon looks pretty nice.
Thanks for your time

Cougar In A Cage
by: Jerry Danchuk

I have a 1950 Willys Stationwagon and have transplanted the complete running gear from a low mileage 1991 Mercury Cougar (Thunderbird). This includes complete rear independent suspension, independent front suspension, V6 fuel injected motor and 4 speed auto trans. A lot of planning but everything worked out fantastic. I refer to her as my Cougar in a cage.

Glass rubber seals

Hi Paul. Who do you recommend for the rubbers around the windows? I don’t want them to fit bad and shrink or come apart later down the road. Thanks
