1970 CJ5 Renegade 1

I bought this '70 CJ5 Renegade 1 for $800 and I have been working on it for 3 years.

It was my first car.

How much have you put into it over the past 3-years? What condition is it in today? Is it all original? Are you going to take it back to the original Renegade look? Details, details, details?

What work

I have put about 5 grand into it to keep it running and in body work. I plan to take it back to the original look as much as I can. I'll post more pics soon.
I have an earlier production , late 1969

I have one too, but my vin ends in 359189 and I can't figure out how or where to get a top that fits. I might have to settle for fabrication of a bikini top. I love this Jeep though. It's clean and runs well w/ orig. 225 and factory overdrive.
If anyone has anything to share, I can be reached at dustypaulnelson@hotmail.com I live in Phoenix, AZ. and this baby is really clean. I believe it was garaged for 30 years and hardly used.
