2002 Wrangler TJ Road Trip

by Derek
(Utah)

'02 TJ at Providence Canyon

'02 TJ at Providence Canyon

My introduction to Jeep driving (in general, not off road), came in the form of a 530-mile road trip from Longmont, CO to Logan, UT.

Compared to my "power-everything" other means of transportation, the Jeep was different, especially on a long road trip. But, the Jeep grew on me and I was sorry to give it back at the end of the trip.

More recently, my "power-everything" other means of transportation had to visit the shop for a while, and I had the privilege of borrowing the '02 TJ again. This time I got the bug. I'm in the reading and researching phase of becoming a first-time Jeep owner.

The picture is from my friends' TJ on the bench just outside of Providence Canyon in northern Utah. The trail I was on isn't steep or anything like that, but I drove on it because I could, and because it was there, and because I was in a Jeep!

Larry's Comment: CAUTION...Derek! This "bug" can be highly contagious. Proceed with care...or you may become like the rest of us...ha!

Trust me...this bug can be a blast!
