2006 Wrangler TJ

by Joe
(Tampa, Florida)

My Wrangler TJ

My Wrangler TJ

I love my TJ! I have a metallic green '06 TJ with the 4.0 inline 6 engine and 6 speed manual transmission. It's my daily driver, so for now I've only added a cargo net that stretches over the driver and passenger area. It's great for storage when the top is up, and keeps things out of view from wandering eyes.

I love having a Jeep because I can take it just about everywhere. I just throw it in 4 wheel drive and I'm cruising down the beach or splashing through that giant mud puddle or creek that used to be a major obstacle for my old truck. Since I live in Florida, you can usually see me out with the top down and the doors off, which has to be one of the best features of the Wrangler for me. There's nothing like that open feeling and cool breeze you get with the doors off. I also like the Jeep community, where even if you're having a bad day, you can count on another Wrangler owner giving a friendly wave, which will brighten it right up.

The only thing I don't like about my Wrangler though, is that there seems to be a vortex that pulls air in from the back towards the front, which is terrible when it's raining. It's quite difficult to wipe the water off the inside of the windshield while driving, so I carry the rear windows with me in case of a sudden down pour.

Now that I'm a Jeep owner, I can't see myself driving anything else.
