'99 Cherokee Sport 4x4

I own a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4-wheel drive with a tow package and the 6 disk CD changer. I used it mostly to go to work and with the unpredictable Kansas weather the 4-wheel drive came in handy more that once. It has the inline 6 cylinder engine which was great with lots of power until the head gasket blew and we discovered that the head also had a crack in it. The jeep had over 200,000 miles on it and had several small things starting to go wrong with it for example the AC didn’t work and the back hatch wouldn’t stay open on it own anymore. The cheapest replacement head we could find was $900.00. Kelly blue book value on the Jeep was only $1500.00. My wife wanted to junk it but I insisted on fixing it. Now our 16 year old son drives it to school everyday. We have plans to put a lift kit in it, add bigger rims and really trick it out.
