Bad Hummers and Jeeps

I liked the Hummer when it first came out. You know the military used them and they really looked cool, but most of all they seemed to be great offroad.

That was the Humvee and later the H1 that I liked then. When GM got hold of it they just slapped the Hummer name on some kind of truck frame and square body that looked kinda like the original. But then it became just a big wide heavy Chevy truck.

Not only that the "pimp my ride" crowd, rap stars and others turned the Hummer into a shiney chromed street rod which I guess is okay. I just wish it still had the military offroad looks and could run on the trails.

I hope the Jeeps like the Wranglers don't sell out to the street crowd like that. I don't like the big loaded Jeeps like the commander or the grand cherokee much either.

I still like Jeep better than Hummer though.
