Duty and Honor
by (No Name Given)
My father was in the army during the Vietnam war. I honor his efforts and his sacrifice, just as I honor the sacrifice my grandfather made during World War II. One war was necessary, the other wasn’t. But they did their duty and they should be honored. The same goes for our troops abroad today. I can’t say I support the war in Iraq, but I absolutely respect these men and women who put their civilian lives on hold in order to do what they believe is right and just. As such, I want my politicians accountable for ensuring that these troops are given the support they need to stay safe. That means giving them the equipment and the healthcare that they deserve.
