Grand Wagoneer hands down best!

Off Road Grand Wagoneer
The Best Jeep 4x4 Ever: The Grand Wagoneer In my opinion, the best Jeep 4x4 ever built was a vehicle which is no longer produced and which largely faded into automotive history: the Grand Wagoneer. This was one of the most beautiful American vehicles ever produced and in my opinion, certainly the most elegant four-wheel-drive of all time. The Grand Wagoneer was offered in several different models over several decades, but one thing was always consistent about it: it was classy and rugged at the same time, which is quite a difficult accomplishment to pull off. The Wagoneer had a rich leather interior and fancy wood paneling on the outside, but a powerful V8 engine under the hood and surprisingly good off-road capability. It was the perfect vehicle for a weekend drive out in the country, going hunting or fishing, or camping. It turned heads everywhere it went and made a very striking appearance. It combined the paneled look of classic station wagons, with the powerful body style and engine of a 4x4. Unfortunately, the Wagoneer was discontinued in the early 90s. A “Grand Wagoneer” was produced in 1993 that was just a Grand Cherokee with fake paneling – that is not a real Wagoneer. If you can get your hands on a used Grand Wagoneer in good condition, you are buying a real jewel of a vehicle that will have a classic cult following for decades to come. I’ve linked to two pictures of Grand Wagoneers – one in standard configuration and one that has been modified for off-road use. http://www.phethean.net/richard/images/wagoneer_kern_river_2.JPG http://www.4x4offroads.com/image-files/battle-beast-jeep-grand-wagoneer-5-door-1.jpg
