This article in NJ.com website refers to the Cars.com "list of the worst cars of the decade" which includes the Jeep Compass at the #3 spot on that list.

Examining a Decade of Automotive Failures

The Compass is referred to as a "soft-road poseur, and not a good one at that".

I don't think the Compass is a bad car by any means, but I think it had a tough tradition to live up to under the Jeep moniker. Any parent name other than Jeep would have probably worked okay. That's all.
