Kirstin from Henley '05 Cherokee
by Kirstin
(Oxfordshire, UK)
My kind ex-husband sorted me out with a cheap Daihatsu to pull the horse trailer for our daughter's pony when I was married to him, and I also had to use it as my car.
I hated it - excellent for the horsey jobs but not as my car. Freaked me out wobbling all over the place! When I got divorced I bought a Land Rover Freelander, which was much more comfortable.
Now I have a 2005 Cherokee Jeep (Liberty in the USA) which my brother chose for me when I sold the Landrover (gearbox problems galore).
Even though we don't have horses anymore we still have a dog. Also, I have had the pleasure of acquiring arthritis so I find I am now addicted to the comfort of the height of the 4x4 for getting in and out of it.
For all those who moan here about 4x4s - last winter they were the only vehicles out on the roads here due to the unusual snow falls encountered.
My Jeep was used by all our family to get about. Their cars were abandoned in all sorts of places. Hurrah for my Jeep!
As you can see she is lovely and even lovelier with her decals on. I've got wolves, saucy ladies, playboy bunnies, tigers, and even an AK47 on the roof.
If someone can advise me as to why my manual gears are suddenly sticking (not whilst driving) and what I might do about it I would be most grateful.
P.S. I live in Oxfordshire, UK.
Larry's Comment: Thanks Kirsten! Nice Jeep!
For those of us in the United States who are not aware...our Jeep Liberty here is called a "Cherokee" in the UK and all of Europe.
