Military Support Websites

The following is a list of military support websites dedicated to the support of U.S. Troops and Allies serving throughout the world in our combined struggle to develop and maintain freedom for all.

There are a number of other military support websites/charities which support our troops. The following list is by no means complete, nor are any of the sites necessarily endorsed by www.4-the-love-of-jeeps.com

However, I would suggest that the key theme here is to do whatever you can to support our troops and allies.

Most, if not all of these selected military support websites include the troops AND their families as well.

These men and women in uniform volunteered to put their lives on the line so that we and others can be free from tyranny.

The very least we can do is let them do their jobs by giving them encouragement...and the honor they deserve.

The stakes are too high for any of us to be complacent.

Freedom Is Never Free!!!

Paralyzed Veterans of America

"The Paralyzed Veterans of America, a congressionally chartered veterans service organization founded in 1946, has developed a unique expertise on a wide variety of issues involving the special needs of our members—veterans of the armed forces who have experienced spinal cord injury or dysfunction."

http://www.fisherhouse.org

"Supporting America's military in their time of need, we provide "a home away from home" that enables family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful time -- during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury."

http://www.usocares.org

"Operation USO Care Package enables the public to express their support of our men and women in uniform. Sponsoring a care package and including a personal message provides individuals with a way to touch the lives of our deployed troops around the world."

http://www.soldiersangels.org

"Soldiers' Angels is a volunteer based, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Patti Patton-Bader, mother of Sgt. Brandon Varn, who recently returned home from a years deployment to Iraq. Soldiers' Angels is a national organization with members in all fifty states and Puerto Rico, and several friendly countries who support our brave men and women in uniform as they carry out their mission. Soldiers' Angels was was incorporated in the state of Nevada in June of 2003. Soldiers' Angels mission is to provide aide and comfort to the men and women of the United States Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force and the Coast Guard and their amazing families. The slogan describes the motivation behind Soldiers' Angels. By working together and sharing a common vision of service, the volunteers of Soldiers' Angels send care to deployed soldiers and their loved ones at home."

http://www.give2thetroops.org

"Since December 2002, we've supported HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of deployed U.S. troops with loving care packages and letters from all over the nation. This was made possible only with the help of tens of thousands of generous and patriotic friends in the U.S. and abroad. To date, we've sent more than 46,000 enormous boxes and more than 15 million letters and cards from caring citizens. This is the least we can do to show our troops how much we care about them. Our troops need to know that we support and appreciate the sacrifices they make for us, our families, and our future. This is about giving back to those who give all."

http://www.redcross.org

"While providing services to 1.4 million active duty personnel and their families, the Red Cross also reaches out to more than 1.2 million members of the National Guard and the Reserves and their families who reside in nearly every community in America."

http://www.yellowribbonamerica.org

"Yellow Ribbon America unites Americans, motivating and assisting America’s communities to give direct support to their local military members and their families."

http://www.military.com

"Military.com's free membership connects servicemembers, military families and veterans to all the benefits of service — government benefits, scholarships, discounts, lifelong friends, mentors, great stories of military life or missions, and much more."

http://www.saluteheroes.org

"Disabled and wounded troops have special needs as they return from their service toadjust to lives changed by their sacrifice. The Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes(CSAH) is building a network of individuals, corporations, and organizationsdedicated to providing the resources these heroes need to return to productive livesin their communities."

Rapid Deployment Kits..Campus Crusade for Christ International

For more than four decades, Campus Crusade for Christ's Military Ministry has been assisting chaplains and commanders with caring for the spiritual well-being of troops and their families. As part of these efforts to share the life-changing message of Salvation, Military Ministry is distributing Rapid Deployment Kits (RDKs) to soldiers both here at home and around the world.

With the help of people like you, about 1.9 million RDKs—each containing a pocket-sized New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs, a daily devotional, and a booklet that clearly shares the Gospel—have been distributed since September 2001. However, there remains much more to be done.
