My 1st car Was a Willys Jeep

HI,

I did own a 1943 Willy Jeep, but ex-French Army so I don't think that all was original in it. But the engine was of Willys type and not the Hotchkiss type.

I grew up with a Jeep in a close family and wanted one when getting my d.l. Was it fun to drive?

Living in a sandy area of France, I still think it was the best in sand. I once climbed a sandy hill with a heavy friend aboard and stalled midway. I realized that I was climbing with momentum in long range gear!! It could have made it without the encounter of a pine tree root! It was pure pleasure.

I unfortunately had to part with it, but 20 years later, still hope to get another one, one day!!

Larry's Comment: They are a lot of fun Patrick...especially looking back to the Jeep that gave you the most enjoyment. I hope you get another Jeep soon.
