My Jeep XJ is Just Plain Fun!

I know there are stacks of nice shiny "superb handling" 4x4's out there, and that's all great & good. So why is it my '96 XJ worth approx. £500/$300 seems to be able to pace & sometimes even out maneuver a lot of the £30,000 modern 4x4's out there, who always seem to want to challenge me for some reason? :)
Once you get used to the slack steering this is an extremely nifty little truck. Low to the ground & powerful it takes corners at any speed especially with the heavy duty rear springs fitted.
The one pictured is my old Jeep which unfortunately got rammed at 40mph...but it strangely looked almost exactly the same afterward, except for a slightly kinked chassis & dent in the fuel tank caused by the tow-bar being pushed into it. The back window fell out, but did not break, & only suffered a crack in a light lens!
... says it all really.
Larry's Comment: Even though the Wrangler's and CJ's are often considered Royalty among Jeeps...I think the Cherokee XJ is a real "sleeper" (drag racing term for a car that doesn't look like it can perform as well as it does)!
