The Henson/Keith Nasty Nash Sand Dragster started out as a street legal Jeep CJ-5, although rarely driven on the street in this phase.
We started with an AMC 390 Built by Boyd Henson and a Ford Top Loader 4-speed Transmission. The rear end was a Dana 60 narrowed and built by Boyd with a 4-link ladder bar setup. The Jeep ran in B/SM National event competition.
Later it was completely rebuilt frame up as a single seat A/SM Jeep. Then it was bumped up to A/CM when Boyd Henson changed the transmission to a Lenco 2-speed, rebuilt the Chevy 377 with Kinsler Fuel Injection and added bigger Paddle Tires.
