Rallied Support for the Troops
by David
(Southwest Ohio)
My name is David and I live in southwest Ohio. I myself am not part of any military branch. I have a good friend, Bill, who is in the army and is scheduled to make his third tour in Iraq this winter. I have quite a few of other friends that are not as close, but who have shared many stories of near death experiences or scary situations he or his fellow soldiers have been in while in the military. Bill and I have done many school activities rallying support for troops through explaining why we still need to be in Iraq and the surrounding areas. I believe that we may or may not have gone into the Middle East with good intentions, but we are there and we cannot leave until we have finished the job and created a stable area. Regardless of who is in charge of this nation, I shall always support the troops in any capacity I can.
Larry's Comment: David...Thanks to you and Bill for your support of the troops. However, I must say that we did have the right intentions going into any country who supported or harbored anyone involved in the 9-11 attacks.
