Troops Doing Their Jobs

I have the utmost respect for all of our military branches as well as the people that serve in them. I have several friends who are currently enrolled in the military, some deployed overseas. My great-uncle was stationed in Pearl Harbor when it was attacked. When the war in Afghanistan started my cousin, Michael, who was in the Navy was on the first ship over there. As soon as his time was up he immediately left the military, as have many of my other friends. Two years ago my friend Brandon ,who had joined the Army and who I've known since we were in 3rd grade, died if Afghanistan after his helicopter was shot down. Our troops are the best military in the world and are excellent at following out their orders. I feel bad for them that their current mission puts them in such danger and after so many years, lives, and dollars, has done little to make us any safer. I completely support the troops, as they are only doing their jobs, however I do not support the United States trying to police the world as we see fit.
