Upper Michigan Jeep Wrangler

by Tom
(Michigan)

I recently purchased a 2007 Jeep Wrangler for about $13,000. It had very few miles on it but had a few dents, etc. It has just the standard features and as soon I drove about 300 miles I had a problem with heat. It seems I am always getting some warm air even if I don't want it. Its a minor irritation but it is frustrating.

I use the vehicle primarily as a second car in the winter as I live in an area of upper Michigan where there is a lot of snow and I like to do off road driving. As an example I use it specifically to drive to frozen lakes for ice fishing. I love the traction of the Wrangler but am not so fond of the gas mileage as it seems to get much less than what I thought. I don't believe I even get 16 miles to a gallon but then again I do very little highway driving at constant speeds for extended periods of time.

Overall I am pretty happy with the Wrangler. I have never been stuck off road with it and I go places that no one else would attempt.
