I had a Ford GPW with a 1955 C.J. F-head engine. It was a great old jeep I drove all over the Boise hills and up to Idaho city, over to Silver City in the Owyhees.

I wore the old f-head out about 1991. I swapped it for a CJ2A engine that I planed the head 3/64 of 1 in. to reach 8.6 compression, installed chrome rods, mains, and rings. This engine had balls to the walls.

I pushed snow up 1 foot deep and crossed deep gullies no one else dared to cross. I took it to Centerville Arizona when I move there. A friend of mine offered me 2000 dollars for it. This was back in 1988 so I took it and I have wished I would not have ever since.
