J7 Stripper! Is Jeep Starting to Pay Attention?

by Larry
(Texas)

In reference to the article below:

J7 Stripper

I don't want to get my hopes up too high, but it sounds like Chrysler/Jeep/Fiat (or whoever now owns the danged company) is showing signs of paying attention to customer and potential customer wishes.

And that is for a Wrangler WITHOUT all of the bells and whistles often found on most so-called off road vehicles.

Just because the gadget technology and "foofey" creature comfort items exists doesn't mean that Jeep (or any other manufacturer) must put it on all of their models...which effectively jacks up the vehicle prices well beyond the average working persons budget.

Giving the consumer the option for a "stripped down" Wrangler can only be a good thing...assuming that the prices will also get whittled down to an affordable amount. And that's a big assumption knowing the greedy history of these companies.

The J7 Stripper Wrangler is just a concept right now...but a step in the right direction. We shall see!

I agree with you 100%. I need a bare bones Jeep. I would like them to call it the Hunter Edition. Made for loading dogs and gear without all the electronic fluff. All I need is vinyl seats and locking axles. I do not need alloy wheels and plastic covered bumpers!
