Newer Jeeps Best with Old Jeep Memories

by Jared
(Tucson, AZ United States)

When I was in high school I helped my father restore a 1950 Willys. It was a huge bonding experience for us so I do prefer that year and model. With the above exception I do prefer newer vehicles over older classics mostly because of the options, and there is less to worry about.

I have had 4 Wranglers in my life; a black 94 Wrangler Renegade, 2 Rubicons and now a 4 door Unlimited.

My wife has a Grand Cherokee but doesn't like it. She had a BMW X5 previously and would like to go back to BMW. I enjoy driving her Grand though.

I had the most fun in the Renegade, probably because I was young and had more time to get stuck in the mountains.

I am grateful for my current 4 door Unlimited though. I thought I would have to give up my Wrangler when I had kids and couldn't put a car seat in the back.
