'09 White Jeep Libby
by (name withheld))
Jeep Liberty (File Photo)
Used to drive a Compass and didn't like it much (visibility was terrible among other things) but it did manage to pull me through deep snow when we had it.
Upgraded to the Libby and I've taken it off-road on easy/mild stuff, and though it's even stock I didn't have any problems with it.
My only complain is the gas mileage. In this day and age, regardless if it's a Jeep or a Hummer, you'd think car manufacturers would be able to improve on it.
I might try a Wrangler Unlimited next time so I can go further off the beaten path, and bring the kids along. They'll be old enough by then to go offroading.
Larry's Comment: Most Jeep's are notorious for poor overall gas mileage figures.
Mileage is often sacrificed for ruggedness and durability under difficult driving circumstances.
