1966 CJ-5 Tuxedo Park V-6

I bought this Jeep in 1972 for $1,325.00.

It was an upgrade from a 1969 CJ-5 with a Hurricane 4. I really liked the increased power with the V-6 and with 12" wide rims I was able to run the sand dunes of Lake Michigan.

Still own it after 38 years. I had to replace the body in 1980 along with the front fenders.

The drive train is still original along with the hood and grill.

This Jeep has been a big part of my life. I still tow it up to upper Michigan, ride the trails and over to Silver Lake, and ride the sand dunes.

I hope to be able to pass it along to my nephew when the time comes.

Larry's Comment: Sounds like some great memories Robert. Would love to see an actual photo of your Jeep if you have one available. Thanks!
