Commander Used Too Much Gas

by Caitlin
(Virginia)

I used to have a Jeep Commander. It was hunter green. I enjoyed it, though I would normally use it for commute to and from work.

Eventually, I had to get rid of it because it was a bit of a gas consumer and my commute was a pretty long one. This was when gas was closing in on four dollars a gallon, so I had to sell it to get a car.

It was 4x4 with everything standard because I never really had the money, time or patience to get anything done to it. It was very rarely used for anything other than commute, but once a few friends and I decided to go mudding. I took my Commander, did some donuts and almost lost control a few times, but I was able to maintain.

I also played car tag with it once. Staying within invisible boundaries, a few friends and I took our cars around four one morning and played until eight. If you were caught in the headlights of another car, you were out.

I had a lot of good times in my Commander, I hated having to sell it, but times got hard and I had to do what I had to do.

Larry's Comment: Sounds like you enjoyed the Commander while you had it Caitlin...though not too sure about that "car tag" thing!
