Military Tradition
by Aaron
For as long as I can remember, I have been brought up to support the our country and it's wonderful freedoms. But, I have been taught that you have to pay the piper for that sort of thing. I come from a military tradition, my father was in the Navy, and most of the male members of my family have served in one way or another. I have served two tours in Kosovo, and I feel that I have done a service for my family, my friends and my nation. I plan to raise my own children with the knowledge that to support the freedoms they enjoy, it is only right that they spend the time to help those freedoms continue. I'm on active reserve right now, and while I don't relish the possibility to be called up, I would never be one to shirk his duty. Thank you for listening. Larry's Comment: Aaron...thank you for your service and your patriotism.
