1951 Modified Willys Wagon

by Michael Paxton
(San Diego, CA, USA)

I started with a restoration, but after buying two to complete the project we ended up making a 4 door, stretched with a 502 V8 and a Custom Chassis.

I think the picture tells all.

Larry's Comment: Very nice unique looking rig, Michael.

However, although the photo is fascinating it doesn't quite tell all. Your wagon appears to be 4-wheel drive...and not running the original drivetrain.

We would like to know what type of running gear you are using, including axles, gearing ratios, transfer case, transmission, wheels, tires, lift etc.?

What two rigs did you start with? Were they the same year Willys Wagon? What was involved in this apparently involved customization?

Also, how is the interior set up? Does it have custom seating and upholstery? What is the dash board arrangement...gauges, style, sound system, etc.?

Sorry for so many questions, Michael, but readers (and I) like to see as much detail as possible. You can "Comment" below to fill in any details.

If you want to send a few more photos, just let me know by Contacting Me directly.

Thanks
