My son turned me on to a pair of Jeeps sitting in a field. One was a totally rusted out CJ7 and the other was this CJ6 with the old Meyer top.
The CJ7 was picked up and flipped onto the top of a Mercury Cougar during a tornado, but it has a solid frame with a 304 V8 engine. I still have this Jeep but decided to do a quick cosmetic job and get the CJ6 back on the road.
The CJ6 was in a barn during the tornado when a rafter landed on it. It had a little rust that I replaced with metal. It is also the first Jeep I have ever had and I am just trying to have fun with it.
Larry's Comment: Thanks Bob. As I've said before I really like these old CJ6 (longer wheelbase) Jeeps. Yours looks really sharp, and I think you have a nice collectible classic Jeep there.
