CJ 5

by (name not given)

I have always loved the CJ 5. My father used to own one and it was so much fun to drive around and even go offroading in.

I like the CJ 5's more because they are much smaller and have the classic Jeep design. The bad part is they are rare and usually in bad shape from where I live so it is hard to get one in good shape.

The CJ 5 is my favorite Jeep yet!

Larry's Comment: The CJ5 is indeed becoming harder to find...especially one in decent condition.

From 1955 to 1983 the little CJ5 was Jeep's mainstay entry level rig throughout the Kaiser (1955 to 1970) and American Motors Corporation (AMC 1970 to 1983) eras.

CJ5

I really wanted a CJ7 when I ran across a CJ5, 1972 Renegade w/5.0l, ps, pb, 4:27 gears, 3spd mnl, …. All the boxes checked.
One owner and 50k mls. It was used but a great foundation to start with. I’m looking so forward to wheeling it and enjoying every minute of it.
