The Jeep Grand Cherokee has been terrific. I leased it and then bought it. I own a contracting company and have to pick up odd size item from time to time. The storage space expands as needed. I added a Thule roof rack for my canoe. Great rack and versatile, it is flat unlike the factory unit, and holds plywood or sheet rock etc. I get 15 mpg on average and on highway driving it still stays about 15 mpg. Totally reliable with a strong feeling of safety. Excellent in bad weather, snow or rain .I found that the lever to change the drive wheels protruded into my driving leg. It has been moved on later models .The abrupt lateral movement of the SUV when the wheels hit obstructions at different times is another minus point . I miss a standard transmission on the vehicle. Very powerful heater/AC. Good radio sound. Easy to change the seating arrangements. I would buy another Jeep . One of my suggestions is that burying the spare tire which has been done on the new models kills the storage space in the trunk.
