Jeep CJ 5 1975

by Thomas
(Vienna, Austria)

This CJ5 bought by my father in 1975 for our hunting area in Austria/Europe. I learned in the age of 11 years how to drive offroad.

It was a very interesting time. I drove in the forest and tried to kill little trees, to drive through little rivers, mud and did all that little boys do when they got a Jeep for learning driving.

The Jeep is unrestored, and has approximately 30,000 original miles, original engine, clutch, brakes, exhaust, etc.

1975 CJ 5

I had a CJ 5 with the Buick V6. I think that was the best engine in the CJ 5 series as it was lighter than the V 8 and more powerful than the I 4. When I put aftermarket exhaust headers on it the idle RPM went up to 1500RPM. That stock exhaust was way restrictive. I had a lot of fun with that Jeep. Wish I still had it. Isn't that always the case?
