I have an '82 Jeep CJ5 with a GM small block V8 4-bolt main.

Numbers on fwd passenger side of the block read V1012TMM. It's also equipped with a Muncie 420 tranny and Dana 300 transfer case.

It sat in a garage for 10 years until I brought it back to life recently. I installed a new Painless wiring kit, a battery, changed the oil and she fired right up.

I ran into my first dilemma and was curious if anyone has any advice to spare. I need to fab a mount for the Muncie transmission. I purchased a piece of steel that will accommodate my needs.

There are 6 mounting holes that sit flush on the bottom of the transmission. They sit about 1" to 1 and 1/2" below the frame rails when hoisted into position.

Does anyone have any pictures of crossmembers used on CJ's so I can get an idea of how to shape mine. I appreciate any and all advice. Thanks
