My 1965 CJ6 Jeep

by Adán Salgado
(México city)

Hi, I'm Adán, from Mexico City and I would like to share with you the story of my 1965 Jeep CJ6.

I bought it in 1994 because then I had a country home and a dirt road to get to it. It was, let's say, "restored" but just the body, because the motor and almost all the mechanical parts such as the brakes, the electric wiring, the alternator...was a mess. So I had to get very patiently all the parts and start restoring it. I also had to fix the engine.

At this very moment I'm painting it again and I would say that it's 80% original, with the double transmission totally functional and the original engine.

Thanks for your kind attention.

Larry's Comment: Thanks Adan. The CJ6 is one of my favorite older Jeeps. I also like your full metal hard top.
