My 2010 Jeep Patriot FDII (Trail Rated) has 79,200 plus miles on it and it has proven reliable.

My brakes lasted until 79,200 miles, it has never left me on the side of the road or trail. It is not as off road capable as other Jeeps but on the high-way I make 22-23 MPG (over the roads).

It has taken on some bad road conditions (debris flows, flooded roads, mud washed over the roads) without a problem. The biggest beef I have is the lack of decent off road tires that fit the stock 17 inch rims.

We have done some mild off-roading (logging roads) and it has done fine. It is not a rock crawler but it is a good all around small SUV.

Larry's Comment: Thanks for your views on your 2010 Patriot. It has surprised me that more Patriot owners have not come forward and bragged (or ragged) on their rigs.

Not many vehicles compare with the off road ability of the Wrangler, but for an all around 4x4 the Patriot isn't a bad vehicle...especially in the gas mileage department.

Glad you are enjoying your Jeep.
