My $50.00 1969 CJ5 Jeep

by Bill Alexander
(Muncie, Indiana)

I purchased a '71 Chevy truck for $50 dollars, then put it on Craigslist and traded it even up for my Jeep in 2 days.

I'm 40 yrs. old. and wanted one all my life, but could never find the deal until last year.

I am so excited to rebuild this old CJ5 a little at a time. It has the factory Dauntless V6 in it, with the 3-speed tranny and the Warner overdrive transfer case. Its a beast!!

It needs some parts here and there, so anybody out there who has parts at decent prices it would be GREAT!

I have no wiper motor, side mirrors, or fender flares. I'm looking for lift kit springs that are reasonable.

My gas tank under my seat is starting to leak due to rusted out. I could really use one of those! So if your a Jeep lover like me I could really use any help finding parts.

My email's waistedtime@hotmail.com so hit me up with anything? Would love to hear anything about your stories too, or we can all talk on here.

Proud to be able to be a subscriber to this site. Love reading your guy's stories!!!
