MY Dream of JEEP Ownership. Is it BLOWN??

I'd always liked Jeeps and I wanted one.

Last year I found a used 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport and I was happy with it. BUT lately it started with not accelerating and then had parts store check and it showed a sensor (EGR). "Vac. lines", they said.

Then I took it to a local mechanic shop and they could find nothing wrong. After getting it home I went to back it up and it made a noise like the rear brakes had locked up.

I am a 63 year old lady on disability and I can't afford expensive repairs. As much and as long as I've wanted a Jeep, is it time I let this dream go and try to sell it to someone who can afford the repairs?

I'd like to know what happened. Why did it all of a sudden do this?

Editor's Response: So sorry to hear this, Paulette. Sadly, any used vehicle will need more upkeep and repairs especially the older it gets. Jeeps are no exception.

Hopefully, you can find a way to keep your Cherokee and get the needed repairs.
