US Navy Retired Veteran

by David Light MM1 (Ret)
(Richmond, VA)

I entered the Navy December 28th 1970 and retired 31 March 1991.

I served on one missile submarine, two fast attacks subs, one cruiser and two aircraft carriers. I've been around the world, through the Panama canal and visited quite a lot of the world.

While on the cruiser we served as gunfire support off of Beirut. I was aboard the USS Eisenhower when we responded to the bombing of the Marine Barracks in Beirut.

Larry's Comment: David...thank you for your brave service to our country so that we can all experience freedom and peace. I'm glad you came home safe. God bless you and yours.
