Veteran Supports The Troops

My name is Basil and I currently reside in Carpentersville, IL. I support our troops by sending money to the USO, and whenever I see things like donating movies to go to the troops overseas at places like Blockbuster I always try to donate at least four movies for the cause. I do this because I myself am ex-Army and served one of my five years in Iraq.

While I served in the Army I was a communications soldier in an Infantry unit which meant that while I was overseas I not only fixed radios and computers but was out on missions as the commander's RTO.

Even though most of my Army buddies are out of the military and living the civilian life like myself we still talk to each other via the net all the time reminiscing about our time together and what we are up to now. My best friend is currently still in the military. He re-enlisted for the 2nd time in his career and has been serving for about 10 years now. He is about to go on his 3rd deployment to Iraq. He is the best man that I know and even though I can't be out there with him now I know that he's in good hands because he has a great unit behind him.
