My 1967 Jeep J3000 with the Vigilante 327 motor.

by Tyler Hendricks
(Boise, Idaho)

Got this truck from my grandfather who is 94 years old and he's had it since 1971.

It runs and drives like a champ, the motor has been rebuilt, and it is a work in progress. I plan on putting a 2" lift on it and 33x12.50 tires on it. The tires I have on it now are mud terrains and 10" which makes it better in off road situations, but I love the appearance of the 33's.

My grandfather painted it silver but I plan on bringing it back to the original color which is more of a white tone. I found out that this is a pretty rare vehicle and can't wait for it to be finished, but as an off road person...Is it ever really finished?

She needs to be cleaned up and dents need to be pulled on the wheel flares which will take some time due to the thickness of the metal. They just don't build 'em like they used to!

Larry's Comment: Tyler...I love these old J-series pickups. If I didn't already have 2 project Jeeps to work on I would consider one of these old trucks myself.
